We are about to start the second half of our annual Adult Warm Winter Clothing Drive and a special thank you to those who have already donated. Our neighborhood has done a great job with this traditional event for many, many years. Again, we are supporting Downtown Streets Team.
This year the requests are for new white socks and new beanies. Also needed are jackets, coats, sweatshirts, sweat pants and vests. They do not have to be new, just clean. No hygiene kits are needed this year. This event runs through January 4th.
After the holidays, if you are cleaning out your closets and replacing you coats and jackets with new items, remember you can donate your used items to this worthy cause.
The red and green bin is on my front porch, 2041 Elmgrove Lane. If you are unable to bring your items, I will be happy to pick them up. Just call me at 408 379-9773. With your generosity we can continue to make this event successful. Let’s help those who are trying to help themselves.
