Dear Neighbor,
Next week, our San Jose City Council will vote on Mayor Mahan’s June Budget Message – and the people who represent you need to hear from you! They need to know that our community supports the bold action it will take to end the era of encampments in San Jose.
Here’s how you can help:
- Contact Your Councilmember
- The entire Council will vote on this message. It helps if you reach out to them and tell them your personal story about what you are seeing on our streets and in our neighborhoods. Click here to connect with your Councilmember: Email
- Attend the June Budget Public Hearing
- Join us at the Council meeting on Monday, June 10th at 6pm.Your presence helps reinforce the message you’ve sent to your Councilmember. If you can attend and speak publicly, please mark your calendar and respond to this email. We will provide details and instructions on how to comment.
This is the most important vote of the year. The Council’s decision will shape how we address homelessness, keep our community safe, improve roads, and maintain parks in the next year. Help us push for a “back to basics” budget that tackles our city’s most pressing issues.
Thank you! Let’s make a difference together.
Sincerely,
Myrna
Office of Mayor Matt Mahan
