As part of the Mayor’s Budget Message, I am pleased to report that several of my Budget Documents (BDs) were approved. The most noteworthy include:
- BD No. 82: Funding to implement sideshow deterrents at Winchester Boulevard and Stevens Creek Boulevard as well as at Hamilton and San Thomas Aquino.
- BD No. 83: A $75,000 grant to West Valley Community Services to support its ongoing work to feed the hungry and house the unhoused in District 1.
- BD No. 85: Funding to support Pet Stations in our parks so that parkgoers can easily pick up after their furry friends and keep our parks clean.
- BD No. 86: Funding to support the citywide expansion of the District 1 Adopt-A-Storm Drain Pilot Program so that all San Jose residents can help keep our storm drains clear.
- BD No. 87: Direction to the City Manager to secure funding for Community Garden expansion with an emphasis on Starbird Park.
