The Baker West Neighborhood Association (BWNA) serves the San Jose, California neighborhood bordered by Elmwood, Mayfield, Quito, and Bucknall representing about 433 residences. The area is residential and is known for its tree-lined streets, quiet atmosphere, and good schools. The El Paseo de Saratoga shopping center, located nearby, offers a mix of retail, restaurants, and businesses.
The neighborhood is located near several major roads, including Saratoga Avenue and Lawrence Expressway, which makes it easy to access other parts of San Jose and freeways. The area is also conveniently located near several parks, including Saratoga Creek, El Quito, and San Tomas Park, that offer opportunities for outdoor activities such as hiking, picnicking, and playing sports.
In terms of education, the area is served by the Campbell Union School District and the Moreland School District. There are a number of highly rated public and private schools located nearby.
The Baker West neighborhood is a well-established and desirable area in San Jose, known for its peaceful atmosphere and convenient location. The association receives discretionary funding through an annual City of San Jose grant. Grants are administered by United Neighborhoods of Santa Clara County. All residents are encouraged to provide input for grant activities.
