December is here and we are entering the last half of our ADULT Warm Winter Clothing Drive. Thank you to those who have donated. But we are still in need of donations! These donations are going to people in need who work for Downtown Streets Teams which enables unhoused people to restore their dignity and rebuild their lives. If after the holidays you are cleaning out your closets and replacing your coats and jackets with new items, remember you can donate your used items to our clothing drive. Requested items are new white socks. Also, needed are warm jackets, coats, sweatpants, sweatshirts, and vests. They do not have to be new, just clean. Gloves (such as fleece gloves carried at the dollar store) and hygiene kits or small hygiene products (shampoo, soap, etc.) like those you use for travel or collect while traveling are requested.
The red and green bin is on my porch (2041 Elmgrove Lane).
If you are unable to bring your donations, I will be happy to pick it up. Just call me (408 379-9773).
With your generosity we can continue to make this event successful.
Thank you, Charleen Marfil (char@bakerwest.org)
