The Tradition Continues!
With Fall arriving, it’s time to plan ahead for our annual Adult Warm Winter Clothing Drive. This event has been a very successful drive for many years in our neighborhood. Again, we will be supporting Downtown Streets Team.
Requested items are basically the same as last year with new white socks (back on the list) along with clean, warm jackets, coats, sweatpants, sweatshirts and vests. They do not have to be new, just clean. Also, gloves are needed (such as fleece gloves carried at the dollar stores). Hygiene kits or small hygiene products (shampoo, soap, etc.) like those you use for travel or collect while traveling are requested. Any leftover wrapped Halloween candy can be donated for holiday bags used during the holidays.
The red and green bin will be on my porch (2041 Elmgrove Lane) beginning Wednesday, November 1, and continues through Wednesday, January 3. If you are unable to bring your donation, I will be happy to pick it up. Just call me (408 379-9773). With your generosity we can continue to make this event successful!
Thank you, Charleen Marfil (char@bakerwest.org)
