As part of the development project, Sand Hill is required to put in park space or pay in-lieu of fees. Currently, the city is working to determine how much of the existing “park space” it will accept as part of the required 5.2 acres of park space. In-lieu of fees could be around $18.2 million. A combo of park space and in-lieu of fees is possible as well. The San Jose Parks Department would like to hear from the community regarding what we would like in the park space, either at the El Paseo 30-acre lot or a nearby location.

Visioning Process
Chappie’s Office and Sand Hill are planning to hold a Visioning Process meeting October 20th at 6pm (check D1 websites for any changes) to help determine what will be developed on the entire 30-acre site, this includes the remaining acres.
